PYS Select Team Evaluations - Reminder!
by posted 06/08/2017

Update 6/20 - 4:30pm

A friendly reminder of our Select Evaluations for all prospective players tomorrow and Thursday.

Players wishing to try out must also be registered for the 2017-18 season prior to the evaluations.

We'll see you tomorrow!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Good Morning PYS families,

We are very proud to announce that several of our spring teams made the Coastal playoffs!  Unfortunately, as we did last year, we are forced to make some adjustments to our Select Evaluation dates in order to ensure that the kids who made the playoffs have the opportunity to attend the tryouts as well.  This was not a decision that was made lightly.  After much discussion and debate about the correct approach at the monthly PYS Board meeting last night, we determined that we are moving the select tryout dates and will not have anything this weekend as originally scheduled.

Tryouts will now be held:

Wednesday, June 21 & Thursday, June 22 – All ages/all genders
Goalies arrive at 5:30 PM.  Tryouts will be conducted from 5:45-6:15 PM
Field players arrive at 5:45.  Tryouts will be conducted from 6:15-8:30 PM

Goalies must participate both the field and goalie sessions

Players may come one or both days.  Should they try-out both days, the lower of their two scores will be discarded.

Registration for the 2017/18 U12 and U14 seasons, as well as for the Select Tryouts can be found here: https://leagueathletics.com/Registration/Default.asp?n=74372&org=PEMBROKESOCCER.ORG

All prospective players must be registered for the 2017/18 season in order to be eligible to tryout. Should a player try-out and not be selected for a team, they will be placed on a non-Select team for the season and are not eligible for a refund.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this causes.  If your child is unable to attend either of the sessions, they are still eligible to make a Select team by writing a note to the PYS Executive Board prior to the tryouts.  In that note, please explain the circumstances as to why they are unable to tryout and request that they be considered as a Coach's selection.  You can send that note to me at veep.pys@gmail.com.

Best of luck to all those teams that are representing Pembroke in the playoffs!

Thank you,

PYS Board
